5 months and counting

Grady is now 5 months old and every time I turn around to write down something new he is doing, he does something else. I swear I cannot keep up. Thank God for this blog because when I make his baby book (note to self - start making baby book) Ill be able to go back and reference old blog posts.

So I'm thinking he is weighing around 17 lbs now. He's out of most all 6 month clothes and into 9 months. Biggest new thing, he cut his first tooth - on his 5 month birthday.

I keep checking it out and every day it pops out a little more. The tooth next to it must be jealous because its well on its way out too. Poor little guy - teething is no fun. I think its making him uninterested in bottles too. Usually he can't get enough of his 7-8 ou bottle, but lately its a struggle to get him to eat 5 ou each bottle. He's doing really good at baby food though. So far he's had cereal, apples, pears and bananas. I'm hesitant to try vegetables, but that's next!

He's rolling over all over the place and when he's on his tummy all he tries to do is scoot forward and move. He'll be crawling in no time.

We got him swimming in the pool for the first time. At first he was a little aprehensive, checking out the situation before "diving in" so-to-speak (just like his dad!) But he finally enjoyed moving around in the water and grabbing at it. He will be a water baby, I just know it!
